I think in the 20th and 21st century, terrorism has peaked after the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Even when Saddam was up to no good, things weren't this bad.

So, you don't believe that Saddam's murdering, torturing and raping of 100's of 1000's of Iraqis was bad? It was state terrorism of its own populations at its worst.
And, it was the Sunnis - Saddam's Baathists and other supporters, who kept up the terrorism against the Shiites after Saddam was deposed. They've continued to murder 1000's.
One was government run-terrorism, the second is insurgent terrorism, and by the same people! There's no difference!

Before, but not what most believe. Saddam wasn't a fundamentalist, so Iran (remember them) and the fundi leaders there tried to take them over. The invasion of Kuwait really pissed the fundi-Islamics off and there were a lot of terrorist attacks in Iraq. The fundi-Islamics hated Saddam more than us, because he wasn't letting them run the show.
Now it's terrorists being home grown there to attack outwardly, as opposed to attacking Iraqis.

According to my nephew who recently returned from over a year in Iraq with US forces, the correct answer is BEFORE. However, as a previous poster noted, it was much less publicized then. And the liberal media wants to make it look like it is the fault of the USA. However, according to my nephew and some of the men in his unit, the acts of terrorism have decreased, and the general population of Iraq is happy to have the UN forces there to support them.

When was terrorism more prevalent in 1940's Berlin? Before or after the U.S. invasion?
The answer: AFTER
So, by your logic we should not have attacked Hitler. Genius.

depends on who you wish to believe.
if you wish to believe the CIA, and people living there, terrorism has gotten worse, after the invasion started.
if you wish to believe Bush, and bush followers, it was worse before the invasion.
