Yesterday was my first day back to work after being off work for a week. I was tired but laid down for about 30 mins to rest and then all of the sudden I got this HUGE burst of energy and went to the grocery store (by myself, not usual) and came home with two bags of groceries (carried in my myself, not usual either) and cooked dinner, then I made my lunch for my husband and I for today and then I made a cake!! The last hour or so I started getting terrible lower back paint that wraps around the front of my abdomen (kinda like menstrual cramsp), I'm 38 weeks pregnant and 3 cm dilated, my doc said I'm effaced but don't know how much, baby has dropped and is jammed down there(for about a month now). Welp, this morning still woke with same symptoms, and with a sensation to go poop. When I get up and walk around I feel like my uterus is going to fall out (lol). Last night, I even took some Tylenol because I thought maybe I just had a sore back. Should I wait? No water break, no blood.

I sure hope this is Labor. Since I'm not having contractions I'm hanging in there until I can't bear the pain any more. I don't want to be sent home.

Wow, you're nesting. That is the fun of pregnancy right there. You feel the urge to poop because the babies head is engaging in the pelvis and pushing the nerves that you normaly would feel if you had to have a bowel movement.

You will know when the contractions start. It will be obvious. Until then keep walking and resting when you can.

i think you should see a dr...now
he/she could be baring down with its head.
could have back labor.
i had contractions and didnt feel a thing at the hospital they kept ask you dont feel that.honey you have to feel that and they show me how the contraction was real steep on the montor.
i never felt one of them.
and you are probley nesting as they call it -thats normal.
what ever is going on time is near .
all i had was sharp pain down below when i went walking like in stores for a week my dr told me it was liaments pulling that wasnt true i was told in the hospital it was uninary contractions and him pushing down which is making you contract and dilate .
he started moving less untill he didnt move at all one day i went in i was at 3 almost 4 and had thinned 75 percent in 2 days.
they took him by c-section after trying to induce labor and all they did was slow it down.
my advice is see a doctor or you could be one of us who didnt feel contractions and it could be to late to make it to a hospital.
i dont know were you live but were i am they have a womans birthing center were you can call the doctor on call and if they want you to come in they just check you out like a dr.appointment and will tell you to go home or keep you..
good luck...
i also watched a friend give birth all the way with do pain
if this helps while i was in labor for the three days i couldnt sleep all i did was pee all the time and thats what i felt when my water broke that i had to peee/

Some women do get a burst of energy before they go into labour (I didn't but everyone else I know did)

The severe back pain was what my contractions were like. It certainly sounds like labour to me! I had my baby at 38 weeks pregnant as well!

You are getting close, but not quite there yet. You will definitly know when the contractions start. Try not to go in too early, when I had my son I had to stay in there for three long days. I was only 1 cent. dilated when I went and it took a while for any progress. Stick in there birth is very exciting. Congratulations!!!

You are in labor just not sure how far into it.

I would stick around and do as much as possible to speed things up or just get last minute things done. If everything seams fine I wouldn't rush in because you may be sent back home. Or you could go in and have them break your water to see if that helps things.

Congratz!

Definitely sounds to me like very early labor, but you're smart to not go running to the hospital until you have steady contractions (unless your doctor has advised you otherwise, of course.) I think it's a good idea to call and give them a "heads up" about what's going on.
Good luck to you!!!

Sounds like the start of it, try to take it easy you are going to need all your energy for the hard part, they don't call it labour for nothing!!
Good Luck!
