I know it's hard for some people to seperate all the "baddies" in the middle east from one another and it's easy to lump them all into the same team but you should know the facts.

THE FACTS ARE:

1) Bin Laden offered to PROTECT Saudi Arabia from Saddams aggression during the first Gulf War.

2) Bin Laden didn't like Saddam because he was a bad Muslim and a secular leader who supressed Islamic extremism in Iraq!

3) Saddam didn't like Bin Laden because he was a threat to his rule.

4) The reason Al Qaeda and the terrorists are so strong in Iraq now is because we REMOVED SADDAM. We traded one evil for another.

I did. I knew that to a stone Fundy Muslim like Bin Laden, a secular dude like Saddam was a BAD MUSLIM. And that was much worse than being a garden variety infidel like GWB.
I blame the media.
I know everybody blames the media for everything but don't they have an obligation to tell us this stuff? To inform us? To get the basic facts straight?
I'm not stupid. But if I was kidnapped by Sunni Muslims and they threatened to cut my head off if I could not explain what makes them different from Shia Muslims I would have to let them cut. All I get from the mainstream media is that
1) they are different some how
2) they want to kill each other over it.
Why can't somebody on television sit America down and give us 15 minutes on this and explain it to us? Maybe it was covered in world history when I was 14 but how was I supposed to know it would be so important 35 years later?
I promise to take notes this time.

Does anyone realize that the Bin Laden family are good friends of the Bush family and have been to Bush's ranch in Texas.

Saddam was supplied for years by the US government with uranium processing equipment for generating electrical power.

It has all been done to make $$$!

Oooooohhhh that all makes sense now.

True it's now overrun with other dictators.

Must have been Bin Laden cut a deal and this is how it all played out.

ESPECIALLY since USA trained Bin Laden originally.

And my answer is no people don't realise Osama Bin Laden and Sadam were enemies....

People don't even know they are both from opposing sects of Islam.

The issue is the average person who only briefly watching the news will only know what overseas media wants everyone to know.

Actually al-Zarqawi was in Iraq BEFORE the US-led invasion.

And Actually Osama and Saddam were in the process of scheduling a meeting BEFORE the US-led invasion.

Furthermore, Saddam was a threat on his own.

Actually, it gets worse. The so-called 'terrorists' in the Middle East are not one group that all hate us. They tend to hate each other, they all want power.

That`s the thing with US foreign policy. One minute your a friend, as in Saddam and Bin Laden`s case, the next minute you go back on your promises to these so called friends and then they become enemies. Uh?? You tell me the answer to that.
