Why do so many people think they have to swing out wide left to make a right hand turn just as thought they were in a big rig

The ones that get me is the ones that try to turn right from the inside lane. ........

I have noticed the problem with people making a left turn rather than a right.
But that might be something to do with the fact that I'm not an American.

I'm sure the driving schools teach it but apparently no one goes to these schools. I am also pretty sure that driver's licenses are available to order out of the back of Mad magazine as well.

Because everyone drives oversized SUVs these days and they're all rather like driving a school bus, leaving us poor people driving little cars to swerve out of their way.

no they dont they stopped doing that when they stopped teaching how to use a blinker
