Okay so I understand that gasoline is a liquid that is in high demand for cars, machines, and other objects. What will happen if all the oil lines dry up thus causing us to not have fuel? Why is it only gasoline that makes cars run and not water? I honestly dont think there is much of a difference. Both are water, both are at a limited supply, and both are in high demand but oil just being the only thing that can fuel cars other than ethinal fuel...

in Brazil the gm's use sugar derived fuel. by law the cars must be multi fuel capable. Volkswagen diesels are 100% bio diesel ready. There are full electric conversions for hybrid cars and conversions for natural gas cars (NYC buses and some cabs used natural gas). there are cars that run on waste cooking oil ( with obvious drawbacks). hydrogen (water based fuel) cars have a long way to go. basically scientists have to find a way to induce and stabilize metallic hydrogen which is theorized to be 9 times as dense as gaseous hydrogen and thus would make an excellent fuel source but the tech is simply not there yet. just do a search on alternative fuels and you will find a lot of answers.

Water doesn't burn.

There are two ways known to science where it's even theoretically possible to extract energy from water. One is in a fusion reactor, and the other is by combining it with antimatter. I'm not sure I would want either sort of power source under my car's hood.

But it's possible to make a car run on just about any liquid that will burn, and a couple solids, if you design it to run on it.

You have way too much time on your hands. Do some research on the net and/or get a job.

New oil deposits are being discovered every week, and there is already enough for the next one or two hundred years. Forget what the libs tell you.
