I have a great deal of respect for John.
Anyone who spends 6 years in a POW prison for his country
has earned it.
But, I live in Arizona, I know him as senator.
And I do not want him as president.

Forget what? He stands for what he believes in. It sounds like he voted or stood for something you didn't so now you do not like him. As for support Bush, McCain is a good American standing up for HIS President, in good and bad, but still voices his opinion to him at the same time. that is one thing we, as a Nation have forgot. We may Disagree with our President sometimes, but, when He does make a decision, we need to Respect it. It is not wrong to disagree, but once a decisiion is made, act like a mature adult about it and go on, not a child who whines about it over and over again.

And what is wrong with supporting President Bush!!! If you are an American you should support your President!!!
You might not always agree with him. You do have that right but you should support him!

he stood against Bush when it came to honoring the Geneva Convention, which is brave for a Republican to do, considering how strictly they adhere to party lines, there is no doubt, or dissent, or independent thought in the republican party, that is why they sometimes win (they work together)

I'm with you. In 2000 he was my hero, but the way he has conducted his political life the last eight years, bending his ethical and moral values in order to please the republican power brokers, has turned me against him, and that's a shame. I believe that if he had stuck to his moral guns, he'd be a shoo in in 08.
