My daughters bedroom is like a bomb site with debris strewn everywhere yet my lads bedroom is pretty neat in comparison. When I was younger my brothers room was a mess with sweet wrappers, bits of junk in every crevice and underwear and socks lying where he left them..the comparison between the two is not far off the mark !

My room is currently a pigsty. I actually came home the other day and thought I'd been broken into! It took me a minute or so to realise that this was the state I'd left it in before I went to work. It always gets messier though at this time of year because I have coursework to do and exams to revise for. As it is I spent last night sharing my bed with about half a dozen journal articles and two textbooks. Once my exams are over it is pretty much immaculate.

girls are much more messier than lads i think....they have to go through a whole wardrobe full of clothes before the find what they want to wear, then go back to the first thing they picked before leaving everything all over the place....then there's make-up, hairdryers hair brushes and various other bumf that's left on the floor....i don't have daughters but my partner does and their rooms are like a tip....seriously...i tried cleaning one of their rooms recently...but gave up, i just took one look and thought...no way...she can do it...my sons rooms are pretty clean but now and then i find food on a plate that's been under the bed for about a week and the odd pair of socks under the pillow or stuffed down the sofa bed...but they are moderately cleaner than girls i think...

While not everyone is the same.... in my experience, Yes Girls are by far the worst.
We had to condemn my Daughters room! Once she moved out it took a dumpster and several days to restore the room to inhabitable conditions.
Did we ***** and yell at her? All the time...to no avail
Good Luck

P.S.: Use rubber gloves and a respirator when you finally get to reclaim the room

I dont think the answer to this question is based on a persons sex. Different personalities and triats effect such things. Maybe she is just an untidy person, or maybe its a phase she may well grow out of. Either way encourage her to tidy it at least once a week, maybe when she realises that if she keeps it tidy then she wont have to spend a long time cleaning it out once a week.

I have a son and daughter. My daughter's bedroom is far worst than my son's. Look under the bed and in the closet and you will find all kinds of things. Both were taught to keep their rooms clean. She says she does not have time so you just throw it under the bed or throw it in the closet and close the door that way no one sees it!!!

I bet your daughter is the creative one of the two. And I bet she knows exactly where everything is, it's an organized mess well that's wot I tell my mom lol. Some people just aren't tidy, if she is happy with it then leave her to it. Don't fix what isn't broken. I've got 2 sisters and they were always cleaning and sorting out their bedrooms. It'd be boring if people were all the same.

Yes girls can be just as nasty as boys but the bottom line is the parent need to make that child clean the room if not that's teaching them to be nasty.

Depending on how old she is it may change i would start to give her an incentive to clean her room.

My room's not too bad...but sometimes it gets a bit messy...whereas my sister's room is pristine and hardly ever messy. Then there's my brothers' room, which looks like a bomb site with underwear, books, train sets and other rubbish everywhere....so i dunno really! :p
