I just recently found out I was pregnat by taking a hpt test. I am expectin my period on Jan 6. I have cramps that feel like period cramps. Is that normal. I dont go see the doctor till the 10 he wanted to wait till i missed my period before the appointment. Just curious if it was normal to have period like cramps in early pregnacy.

Cramping is normal in early pregnancy. Sometimes your uterus is just stretching out a bit--and other times it's actually your bowels! Constipation and bloating is a miserable side effect of pregnancy :)

I am 7 weeks pregnant today, and I still have mild cramping sometimes, and my doctor indicated that that was completely normal!

Most likely they are normal. Do you have any bleeding? Bleeding would mean, NO it is NOT normal. Either way, call your doctor. Even if all is well, he can set your mind at ease better than we can.
