ted a week more and it was positive again can any one explain what went on. Iam 13 weeks now and everythings fine i had a 6 week scan just wondering how this is possible?

It was the time of the day. HCG is in the urine and concentrates more and more the longer you go between peeing. Being that you are pregnant, you pee a lot more which means that you peed before the appointment so when you did the pee on a stick there, you were pretty empty in the bladder.
That's why. If they had done a blood test, it would have been positive which is why if you ever think you are pregnant, you should request a blood test.

The pregnancy hormone is present in the first urine of the day and may not show up in a urinalysis if it's done later in the day.

otc tests are not always right regardlless of what anyone or commercials say

who knows, sometimes tests are just wrong! that's why it is good to repeat them. :)
