It might just run but it will be slow. You've got the bare minimum RAM and a PentiumII will be really really struggling. Windows 2000 on a P3-300 / 128Mb RAM was pretty slow.

When it starts up it won't run many applications before it runs out of speed.

Stick with Win98 or buy a new computer

Yes windows XP is working in 128 ram and Windows media center is also working in 128 rem.
I think that XP and mediacenter is better good then windows 98.
so instoal a either XP or mediacenter.

well..actually ran windows xp in 128 mb ram..it was workin fine..but the prob might be with ur processor coz it p2...that will really slow things down..moreover u wont b running only xp..there will b other applications also..so better stick with 98 or upgrade ur pc to a newer 1..

Not technically. The minimum of RAM for XP is supposed to be 256 and that is JUST a minium.

yes win xp does work in 128mb ram but it needs pentium 3 which u dont have

you can add another 128MB or higher RAM memory card(chip) inside your computer, then you will be easily able to work in XP. You can ask any of the local computer shops to help you to choose the type of RAM your computer uses.
