1) Go to your local career center. Most communities offer free career counseling where you can get advice on your resume and interviewing techniques. It could be that something on your resume is hurting your chances of finding a job. In some communities your career center is affiliated with the local unemployment office. If you were laid off due to budget cuts or whatever, then I believe you qualify for unemployment.
2) Sign up with a temporary agency.
3) Call your credit card companies or whatever places you owe money to and explain your situation and ask if there is some sort of protection plan in place or if you can make arrangements to temporarily pay a lower amount. Your first priority is rent/living expenses so take care of that.
4) Check out sites like Craigslist.org that have a lot of random jobs that you can do to earn some supplementary income, like dog walking, modeling jobs, or being in a focus group.
5) If you're really stuck, start going through all your extra stuff like clothes, CDs and acessories and sell them on eBay or other sites. Also, a great work at home job is to sell people's things on eBay. You take a cut and you handle all the listing, mailing, and selling of an item. A lot of people have cr@p they'd like to get rid of but don't want to go through the hassle of selling it online or holding a garage sale. Good luck!

What is your plans?, goals?, motivations?

- what motivates you, inspires you,
Maybe creating a resume, there are a lot of websites that can give you information on how to make one.
what kind of skills do you have when applying for jobs, such as communicating with a possible employer?, follow-up?, mannerism and professionalism?

It's tempting to fall into a pattern of feeling sorry for yourself and down on life. You need to NOT do that.
Right now, your FULL TIME JOB is to FIND another job! You need to be working at it 40 hours a week, just as if it were a job. Good luck! In the meantime, go to the unemployment office to see if you are eligible for benefits. It will help pay the bills, but it won't be a full replacement for your paycheck. Also, contact your creditors and let them know what's going on and try to negotiate a temporary reduced payment schedule with them... Get their answers in writing..
If you want, you can email your resume to me and I can proofread it and offer suggestions for improvement if necessary. If you're concerned about privacy, delete your contact information before you send it. I'll give you honest feedback.

First of all, work on your resume and make it an excellent one to get job, which suits your interest. You should take the help of consultant to make an attractive resume. Then You should submit your resume to leading jobsite like www.monster.com, www.careerbuilder.com. Also you should consult local placement consultant in your area. In the meantime, look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but you can make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit

You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)

You didn't see this coming? Are you living at home with the 'rents or are you out on your own? If it's the former (or even the latter for that matter), swallow your pride and ask your parents for help. File for unemployment and put your application in where you can. I was jobless for a couple of months about 4 years ago. I came out the other end okay, even with bills, legal problems, etc.

Take it easy and restock your skills and experiences. But, before you do that please contact your social services people to see if you are entitled to any unemployment benefits.
Additionally, apply for any assistance that you are entitled to. Do not panic and think it is the end of the world.... IT IS NOT!!!!! It could be the beginning of something better for you. As to your financial obligations, I suggest you contact your ESSENTIAL creditors first if you think you will not be able to meet your obligations. At this point in time the last thing to worry about is non essential bills.
I hope this helps you out.Trust me,You will bounce back. Good luck

Go to a temporary employment service, until you can find a full time job. You should be able to find such services in the phone book.
