Dude, they say it's not wise to use your mobile phone while it's being charged because you can be electrocuted. I say it's better to be safe then sorry. Unplug the phone first before you using it.

that would probably depend on what phone you have or what service you have. i have verizon and i can talk on it or do anything on it when its plugged into the charger. i know all verizon phones can do this. if you have another server im not sure, but it wouldnt hurt to try it.
