For many years Dick van Dyke's performance in 'Mary Poppins' was widely regarded as the worst accent ever seen in films, however in a poll a few years ago it came in second to Sean Connery in 'The Untouchables'.

Not sure. His accent moves around a bit! It's probably near to that part of London that all American actors are from... foreign actors doing English accents are always either toffs or cockney scamps, after all!
