Why my window media player 11 can't open VCD .?

Will uninstall the WMP 11 do any good and reinstall back ?

In WMP they apparentely removed many codecs that were un-used on a regular basis.

This codec pack installs everything you need to run media in WMP 11. Just make sure you customise it to use WMP 11 as your default player.
