Yeah, the exact same thing happens to me! The minute something scary comes into my mind I have to be in light and I try to hide under my blanket. Sometimes I'm so suprised by how badly I can scare the crap out of myself.

Yes, there used to be a mirror in the hall at the foot of the stairs. I thought I heard something one night so I went to check it out. I caught sight of myself in the mirror and in the dark it looked like someone standing at the end of the hall. I let out a scream that scared me and everyone else in the house!

HAH I do that all the time...especially when I stare at a shadow..and I'm like "Ooo...look at that weird shadow in my room...sure would be weird if that shadow wasn't really coming from my window...or is it really?...wait..come to think of it...it actually looks a lil bit misshapen...like it doesn't belong there..maybe there really is something under my bed...AH CRAP NOW I CAN'T GET DOWN...(where's that stupid lightswitch)"

I ALSWAYS DO THAT. I AM SITTING IN MY DARK ROOM LAYING DOWN AND I HEAR SHUFFLING IN THE LEAVES I TELL MYSELF IT IS THE WIND BUT SINCE I LIVE ON A MAIN STREET I THINK IT IS A BAD PERSON SO I TURN A LIGHT ON AND GET ON THE FLOOR. jUST KNOW I AM SCARYING MYSELF. HELP!
