I don't believe there is a devil and a god within us. Because I'm a Christian, I believe that we are all born with a sinful nature and a propensity to do things that displease God. I believe that God lives within us when we confess our sins and ackowledge and accept the gift of salvation Jesus gave us by dying on the cross and resurrecting. Christianity teaches that there is a devil, and I believe there is, but I think the devil gets way too much credit for things that are simply a result of the bad choices we make in life. Also, having God live within you does not mean you are a good person and that you will never do wrong again. We have to constantly overcome human nature and our own desires and put God and others first. It's a daily battle, and we lose lots of times, but God helps us every step of the way. Remember, Gentleman, I told you I don't believe in good and bad people anyway. Whether Christian or not, I believe most people are doing the best they can, and "good" and "bad" is far too subjective to be used as a way to classify people.
