The rover engine is pretty good, are are the rest of the mechanicals, what will be a problem is things like the eletric windows, bits of trim falling off and random rattles. But to be fair, the sound of the engine making all those right noises will cover over the latter.

Just dont spank it around tightening corners or roundabouts in the wet...

Equally reliable as one on a private plate, while the engine may not be the most reliable or the electrics it is a simple beast well within the capability of you average mechanic to maintain.
Compoared to other "Sports" car it does go round corners reliably, you know the back is going to step out so you know what to do, Mid engined cars, Ferrari, etc you never know which end will let go and Porche both ends let go on visciously on a random basis, so TVR more likely to be sitting at the roadside waiting for the RAC, Porsche more likely to be lying at the roadside waiting for an ambulance.

The only time I ever see TVRs is on the hard shoulder of the motorway, usually on fire. Avoid like the plague!!

but its a hell of a car! so much fun for the money and when it is running it will keep up with cars worth 3 times its value!

depends on the engine v8's are good 6 cylinder not so good they leak and have dodgy electrics
