I work as a dj at fashion shows I usually use deep house,chill out , ethnic music.U can use also 80's cool songs..But its up to ur clothes styles ad colors..

For any stage performance, thesedays, music has almost became a compulsion. The main idea of playing background music is to make audience not to get bored until the show was completed. But, fashion shows contain music that makes one feel more passionate and tempting towards the models. I think it also shows influence on the judges mind too.

I would have to say the 80's music it has a certain beat to it that would make a fashion show fun try the pop Phychodelic furs, Dexter's midnight runners, Drop dead fred he sings I am too sexy , that has an upbeat tempo.

I think it really depends on a couple of things.
1. The type of clothes you are marketing
2. The type of people you are marketing( young, old black,white)
3. Day or Night

well it kinda of depend on the clothes but i would say have you ever heard of AnneMarie her type of music would sound good i think that music that if you listen to and when you hear it and walk down a hall or side walk and you can walk with a mega twist than you found it

up beat music - "life in a northern town" is a mint song not sure who by but if you search on itunes it comes up first and is by 'various artists' and is on album 'alternative eighties' has a mix of rythms and styles
