My partner works for British Gas, and according to him they are not an ideal gas company. And there are better gas companies especially cost wise..

Get a quote from BG, but also look to other companies, and see who is offering you best aftercare, services, price etc.

Assuming you currently have no gas meter and you haven't been disconnected for debt, you need to call a department called 'domestic gas supplies'. I don't have their number to hand, but if you call 02920 840702 (thanks to say no to 0870) it goes through to the Cardiff homemovers callcentre where they are based and you can be transferred.

They are open Moday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday 8am-6pm, however it is best to call before 4.30 Mon-Fri as they have to liase with Transco who close at 5pm.
