original ideas for creative writing pleaaasssseee!?

I'm a trainee teacher and I need some lessons which are original rather than narratives, completing stories and plots.

If you were in the class, (adults), what would you find fun and interesting?

No matter whether adults or children they always like Stories
Follow two steps.
1> Tell a story (may be created by yourself or other person)
2> try to view the moral of the story form different point of vies.
e.g political, economical etc.
3> Ask the students for others points to understand from the stories.
4> What points they make more ,more intelligent they will be.

Have the kids (I'm assuming) write a creative story about what they think the origin of their names and where they thought their names came from. It raises self confidence and promotes cultural awareness. It is also not totally useless either.
