Part of selling yourself in a job interview is showing why you're a valuable asset to the particular company you're applying to and the particular position. Everyone is "hard working" and "loyal" and "organized" but companies are impressed when you show that you did your research. On a company's website look at their mission statement and the part that's about the company. It gives you an idea of what the company's goals are and what they value. You can "sell yourself" by either A) following what those goals are or B) filling a position that the company is lacking in. For example, on one interview when I was asked why I wanted to work for a particular company, part of my answer was that I admired their committment to science education in the community and mentioned a recent press release. Before that the hiring manager had expressed concern over my lack of experience but when I showed that initiative, she said that was a determining factor in calling me back for a second interview.

Other things that sell yourself to a company are giving examples of your abilities. Don't just say you're organized--say what you do to demonstrate your organization abilities. Personality is also a big factor, so if you say that you're outgoing and a people person, give an example of what you mean. For example, say, "I'm never intimidated when I walk into a room and don't know anyone. I just walk up and introduce myself to people."

NOPE....don't fall for it, it's a trick question!!!!

If they ask this, all you have to do is say, "My resume speaks for itself.", because there's nothing you can say that your resume won't if they have the brains to look hard enough.
