The most famous case was an Indian child who was convinced that he/she was a reincarnation of someone who the family didn't know from a place they didn't know. They found the village, house and relatives and the child told them things that only the person would have known. So in this case your theory doesn't work. There must be some explanation somewhere!

Well, I believe very much in this kind of thing so I don't think you're crazy!
I do believe that we may very well have lived here before, maybe many times. I certainly believe in a spirit world, heaven or whatever one wishes to call it.
Most mediums, spiritualists will say that we have lived here before. The thought is we come here for soul progression through experiencing and learning.
I'm sure family members can be similar to other family members, whether this is down to reincarnation sometimes, I don't know.
I'm sure that children probably have a certain amount of knowledge because maybe they haven't become to set into thinking that there is no spirit world.
You might find some books on the subject interesting. There are loads around if you go to the mind, body and spirit section in a book shop or library.

For a FICTIONAL discussion of the idea of genetics & past life memory, see "Gene" by Stel Pavlou, published in 2005, by Pocket Books.
The New Zealand author Keri Hulme described some interesting similarities among her relatives of the sort you describe: a child who always ate his dinner the way his (then deceased) great uncle had done, one item at a time, rather than a bit of everything on the fork.
For myself, I do believe in the transmigration of souls, that is, after we die, our souls have a bit of R & R then take up residence in a new body. I'd add in a few variants to the standard theory, souls can split in two (or more) parts, but, like a hologram, each soul is complete. They can also dot back & forth through time, so that the one soul can (from a linear, human point of view), be living out several lives at the one time. I think it may also be possible for souls to undergo fusion, as it were, as well as fission.
I refer to the people who (I believe) have the souls of my relatives as karmic family. I haven't read about this anywhere, possibly it's unusual to meet your karmic family.
Someone did some research among members of the Australian Airforce, and found that a significant number of the modern pilots had past life memories of being pilots who were killed during WWI II.
I began to take the idea of reincarnation seriously some years ago when I found that not only did I have past life memories (which I'd dismissed), but I also understood (in this life) the languages I'd spoken in that life a lot better than I should...

Not crazy at all!
It's only a little thing but eeire nontheless. According to my mom and dad when I was a toddler, I used to go up to people and say 'I'm going to DUNCH you' and proceed to poke/push them in the leg.
Fast forward a couple of decades, my mom was doing a crossword and got stuck on a spelling and looked it up in the dictionary. Whilst trying to find the word she came across the word DUNCH: Definition: To push or gore, or hit or blow. It's an old word that orginates in the North of England or Scotland. When I looked it up on the internet I discovered it is also used in Northern Ireland in the same context.
It could coincidence and could be attributed to childish talk, but there is no way I could have heard that word before. It's not a word I've heard in common speech before or since.
An altogether more interesting and astounding example of this can be found at this link

I watched the programme a couple of moths ago and it was very compelling.

No, its all rubbish.
Think about how much has happened in history, think about how many kids there are with imaginations.
There are bound to be things that seem to add up but are in fact coincidence.
How exactly would the memories be transmitted ? Are you saying that those little tadpoles have got a memory, or that egg has inherited 15th century knitting patterns.
...all nonscence, i've been saying this for many of my lives.
You just need to watch something like Derren Brown to realise how easy it is to influence people and how little contact people have to have with something to be drawn in.
Chances are, those "memories" are just soemthing the kid saw in a book, or glimsed when parents skipped over the history channel on TV.

of course it is possible
if you are interested in this type of genetic cord attachment you should research it
also, just plain good ole reincarnation might be at play here
when I do intuitive readings, I sometimes get information from a mother (may or may not be deceased) through her daughter, this is a case of genetic cord transference. Sometimes it is hard to tell where one person ends and another begins because the genetic make-up (spiritually) from mother to daughter, sister to sister, and so forth is so very closely related.
you might also want to research rainbow and crystal children, as this just might peak your interest
good luck
good for you for keeping an open mind

No, its not possible to be passed into the DNA and their genes. It is possible to have strong memories of things that never happened, due to our imagination and dreams. Association also plays a part in a this, especially with the expressions etc

We all do things in a way that some one else in the family has done before. I thought you meant kids saying stuff like "when i was older" or "my wife/kids did that". One of my kids use to talk of his "other family" and places we had never taken him, when we did take him to these places he knew his way round better than we did.......Now that is crazy !

it doesnt sound crazy, in fact there are a lot of ppl who believe this and ive also read about it. i read once about a 3 y/o boy who remembered his past life or just four years earlier, he told of how he was murdered and who did it. i cant say that i myself truly believe that we are reincarnated. i believe that we go meet our heavenly father and that we stay with him. those kinds of things are creepy to read about tho, it kinda just makes you wonder....

I believe when a person dies, their soul goes into a new born baby. During that process all memories of the "leaving" soul are erased. Sometimes it happens so quick that not all memories are erased. This explains the phenomenon you asked about.
