I would make a law banning any further lawmaking untill the laws already on the books are either enforced or dumped.

I can think of two.
The first would be to legalize dope. Have the various states own and operate distribution. Sell at a very low price. This would all but eliminate illegal trade. It would also put a real crunch on drug related crimes. No profit why do it? Usage would most likely stay the same or maybe diminish. If it did not work out any better than the system we now have we could repeal it. It sure couldn't be any worse. Oh yes, drug related crimes, well the list is too long to mention. However I will note a few. Murder, child abuse, theft, when the money for the goods are used to purchase drugs,
buying and selling of stolen merchandise (Pawn Shops), lots of corruption in law enforcement, money laundering, Jerome the drug dealing pimp driving his Hummer, wearing a $2000.00 gold chain around his neck and wearing his baseball cap sideways.
The list goes on and on.
Of course it would not stop all crime but it would dent it seriously.

Well the argument will be,"but wouldn't that be condoning sin?"
Yes in a manner of fashion it would. However is would be the lesser of two evils. The reason being, that under the system we have more sin is being committed. Which is better more sin or less sin? Also are we condoning sin by allowing this atrocity to continue?
Take away the profit! Even stupid drug dealers don't work for nothing.
Now to me the above seem like a reasonable plann. Allow me to mention one I would like better. In relation to drug dealers, the plan I would pick would be SHOOT THEM! I would not mention that one. Some charges might be filed against you.

Now for the second law. Much simpler! Sex offenders of any denomination. SHOOT THEM!!!!!!!!

Retroactive Abortion to cull the herds of members of the ID TEN T Club!

If you're a wee tad slow on the uptake, the ID TEN T Club looks like this -- ID10T.

Think of how society might have changed if we could have retroactively wiped out Saddam Hussein, or Adolph Hitler, or Benito Mussolin, or Idi Amin, or Papa Doc Duvalier?

Could be an interesting debate. Imagine the benefits. Now, imagine the problems with WHO gets to DECIDE who gets retroactively aborted.

When a new law is introduced in Congress, it should be required that the bill state under what authority Congress would have to pass such a law. For example, a law to raise income tax rates would have to cite amendment 16 which states that Congress has the power "to lay and collect taxes on incomes". The purpose of this requirement is to expose new laws that are of dubious constitutionality. I would consider this a safeguard on our liberty.

My new law would affect the food stamp policies. This new law would prohibit the sale of candies, junk food (buggies full of chips and pizzas), non-alcoholic drink mixers, and soda with a food stamp card. People with a food stamp card should only be able to buy actual food like meats, vegetables, and occasionally a bag of chips and dip. The government should not be provided money so people can go buy food that is unhealthy and just junk. Food stamps are provided so familys can have meals to eat. Candy and drink mixers are not part of meal.

My first thought is a law that creates an anti-congress who's sole function it to repeal stupid, unreasonable or unenforcable laws.

The next would be a law that repeals and prohibits all laws that in any way interfere with an individual's right. That would include everything from wire tapping to seat belt laws for adults.

I would have a higher speed limit here in california from 65mph to 75mph everybody already goes that fast just make it legal and cause less accidents from drivers looking in there mirrors for cops. Also i would make prisoners in jails work for the state while their in jail, instead of them just sitting around but rapping each other they can do caltrans and landscaping and build stuff.

People of the ages 16-18 who drive, should not be able to talk on the phone while driving. They barely know how to drive and adding another obstacle to it could endanger other drivers.
