just a quick question... I'm thinking about getting a 750gb internal drive for my pc but want to wait for hard drive manafacturers to start bringing out 1tb drives. does anyone know when these are expected to start being manafactured

Why not fit a 250 GB C: drive for your operating system and applications plus a 750 GB D: drive for data? That would give you a total of 1 TB and the security of not having your data on the same drive/partition as everything else.

I was under the impression that Dell is supplying some new machines with 1 Terabyte machines right now ?
However, I would go for a mix of drives. You would have to have a decent back up as well. The stabillity of the drive is a factor as well, and I would definitely get a backup and and APC ups for damage protection( Or mitigation)...
