you need software to burn a DVD
get it from http://www.nero.com/
it comes with applications to convert videos of many types to DVD format as well

Download a program called Nero. Torrent it for a free version with full capabilities. Its very straight forward and you will be writing DVD's in no time =)

yeah right, find your burning software first, such as Nero, WinOnCD, or anything like that.. see previous answer..
btw, if you want to make a DVD movie, why dont you try to make it by DVD movie maker such like, Ulead VideoStudio 8 (www.ulead.com), or maybe Windows Movie Maker (WinXP) <-- I havent try this ones..
and after installing your burning software, dont forget to write it on Blank DVD..
