If you count inner peace, tranquility and love of animals and of and for some four-legged and two legged people as the best things, then I agree, they are as free as anything in life.
As far as good things coming to people who wait, honestly, that is a bit of a stretch, in my opinion, Maybe it will, maybe it won't. So I would say I have seen stronger evidence for the first than the last.

Sometimes. Love and friendship are free and there's not much better than that. But other times I could argue for a trip to Paris or a Fendi Spy bag. And good things come to those who wait? That one's arguable. I think you get what you want by working hard and going after it. Maybe I like patience is a virtue better.

definately...our society totally has the wrong focus.....if it had the right focus the people with all the money wouldn't need to go see a physiatrist.....
I have had the same dream ever since I could remember....I'm 35 now....it has slowly been unfolding over the past couple years and will hopefully be a reality for me with 5 years...but I get to start building this summer(I want to live in the woods far away from anyone)
