That depends on what you intend to do on the mission. For example, pilots (who fly the spaceships) and mission specialists (who do the scientific stuff) have very different requirements. You can even take the "space tourist" approach, if you're in good health and have $20 million to spare.

See the sourced link below. It contains NASA's requirements for the various types of astronauts. You'll definitely need a college degree with lots of math/science, so that would probably be the first thing you should work on.

Several astronauts have different levels of education and military background, so it mainly depends on which path you want to take. For Pilots and Commanders, most are military grads, usually having high-ranking positions or special training, such as SEALs or Navy pilot training. For the Mission Specialist, most have Phd.'s or Master's degrees in some sort of Engineering background, largely Aerospace or Mechanical.

Honestly, the best thing to do is set your goal to do it and be in the best shape physically and mentally to be able to achieve that goal. You'll need to be the complete package if you want to be in the Astronaut Corp.

to be an astronaut u have to specialize in astro physics in post graduate education.first of all,u have to want to be a astronaut.that means u want to b a jet pilot and an engineer and u have to b very challenging. u have to study very hard to achieve your aim .another thing is that u have to workout to keep your body strong.
u have to join airforce. after u have flown them for six yrs u can try for astronaut training.
