I had my second and third babies early. My first was overdue! My second baby was born at 35 weeks and my third at 33 weeks. I had lots of braxton hicks type contractions and back pain, but it just wouldn't go away. I wouldn't be surprised if you are in labor, but I'd recommend calling your doc right away because the sooner you get in the better for your baby! they held my 33 week labor off for 3 days and gave me a shot to help the babies lungs mature and help prevent cerebral palsy...

I'm 35 weeks right now- and having the same
"question".. I lost my mucus plug- or rather parts of it 3 weeks ago.. since this past weekend i've had a fairly constant "dull" lower back pain along with "menstraul type cramps"... they aren't very strong- but I remember with my first- it felt like all I had was back labor- and when i first went into labor I remember thinking, "why do i have menstraul cramps" when i woke up from sleep and then like 30 minutes later it dawned on me , "oh crap i'm in labor"... As far as the ultrasound goes- i wouldn't give it too much weight. with my first i was 42 weeks along and had an ultrasound and the y said my daughter was over 10lbs... so 23 hours later I gave birth to a 7lbs baby!!!!! she just happened to be tall- and they base the weight on their bone length etc... so it can be TOTALLY OFF!!!! Anyways guess I don't really know what to tell you- check with your Dr when you go? My Dr told me- even if they arent strong to still count them and as long as im not having more than 6 in an hour- don't call.... GOOD LUCK =)

With my second pregnancy I was having Braxton Hicks contractions, but wanted to see if they were doing anything. When I went into see the doctor I was at 8 cm! I didn't have "real" contractions till I was at 9! Please don't delay in going to dr or you may have #4 at home!

I think once you lose your mucous plug labour is only days away. My midwife told me if a started to cramp, lie down with a hot water bottle. If cramps continue you may be ln labour and if they decrease your not. They are just Braxtn hicks.
If your not sure i would call the hospital to find out especially since you are only 34weeks.

could be, call your doctor cause they may want to stop the labor if you are.you are still kind of early, i had my baby at 30 weeks and the closer you can get yourself to 40 is better for your bundle of joy. either way you dont have all that long left just hang in there and things will progress the way they are suppose to. good luck to you.
