I know a little about samba music but i know for a fact that one of if not THE best Brazilian blues guitarist is a guy called Big Gilson!

Have had the pleasure of meeting him several times when he has been in the UK but to hear him play is unbelievable....His guitar solos are out of this world and will seriously make the hair on your neck stand up, so full of feeling... plus he is such a nice guy! Check him out if blues is your thing....

Carlos Santana is the obvious one.

What's interesting about brazilian music is that surprisingly OLD guys , (even ugly guys), can still be cool musicians in Brazil. Rock music isn't just the preserve of the young.

We could learn a lot from the way Brazilians relate to music.
