God

Well, if u believe in god, then it was God.

But if u believe in science then its not "who" created the universe but "what" created the universe. There are many theories that cirulate the acedemic community, the Big Bang theory is most accepted. However no one knows for sure exactly how it was created.

The Big Bang Theory Summary
According to the Big Bang, the universe emerged from an extremely dense and hot 'ball. This ball exploded and began to expand, to create the universe. Since then, space itself has expanded with the passage of time, carrying the galaxies with it.

If you're looking for a scientific answer on why the universe exists, there isn't one, and quite likely can't ever be one. Let me explain why.

For a hypothesis to become a scientific theory, it must be falsifiable. In other words, there must be some experiment you can conduct that, if it turned out a certain way, would disprove the hypothesis. For example, you can test whether gravity exists by letting go of a rock and seeing if it falls. If the rock doesn't fall, then you've shown that the theory of gravity is false.

There is no similar experiment that could prove the "creator-of-the-universe theory" to be incorrect. Hence, the existence of such a creator is not a scientific theory.

This doesn't mean that god doesn't exist. Nor does it mean that he does. It just means that science can't answer that question. Religion can answer it, but you have to take the correctness of the answers on faith.

If you're looking for an answer to the nature of god in the science area, your answer will be a big fat "dunno". If that doesn't satisfy you, then the science & math section isn't the right place for you to be asking your question.

Nobody. There is no need to assume that "somebody" did it or that it happened for a reason. It happened, that's all.

Space and time did not exist before the Universe, nor does either exist outside the Universe, and you can't have causality without time.

In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth...God made the Universe. Check out the book of Genesis. Check out the link below for the Institute of Creation Research, it may help you understand more.
