I know it's not what you had in mind, but your question raises another question - how do you define "person"?

Human?
Flesh and blood?
Sentient?

For instance, are the robots people? If you answer yes for the film, does that mean we should be ready to consider robots as people in our own society? Should they be able to vote, for instance?

Same question applies to species not human - are they "persons"?

It's not an abstract question, because in our own society, many people who are human are not considered "persons" under law - gays may not marry in most places, or enjoy the rights of civil union. Gays are still officially discriminated against in the military, and undocumented aliens in this (and many other countries) do not enjoy rights that many consider basic human rights.

What does it mean to be a person? In Star Wars it's just interesting conversation. In our country today, it can be a matter of life and death.

Just a passing thought....

I would have to go with Han Solo also. What movie had Harrison Ford been in that hasn't been a blockbuster. There are not that many.
