Each persons body chemistry is differant. Go to a store where they sell mens cologne and after shave. Smell them all and spray a little on you. They will smell differant in the bottle then they will on your skin. You might want to take someone with you and ask their opinion after trying a few on. You might like the smell of a certain kind in the bottle but once you have it on your skin, it might smell horrible to those around you. With a little testing and other peoples opinions, you'll soon find the one that's right for you. I like many kinds, but what smells good on one man, may not smell good on another. Good luck.
One other note: Don't buy a cheap brand because they do not stay with you. Also some of the priceier kinds can stain your clothes. It's best to put it on 5 mins before you get dressed.

cool waters is great, and black code by Armarni is SO good!!!! But my fav has to be Izzy Miyaki (don't know if i spelt miyaki right, but it's pronounced like that). Romance by Ralf Lauren is hot!! I think these are my favourites of all time, and believe me, I have bought a lot of fragrances for the males in my life - dad, uncles, brothers, cousins, guy freinds, etc. Trust me! You wont be dissapointed with these ones. Good luck!

Definetely Issey Miyaki!!!!! (the old one, not the new one)
I once told a friend of mine (a guy) that it's really good and that I wanna get it for my boyfriend, he said that he was going perfume shopping anyway and will take a look at it. Next day, he came to school wearing it!!!! He said "I'm sorry but it was too good I couldn't resist buying it" !!! :) its the best!

i have tried out quite a few,but i think i like cool water the best.its not strong and it has a good scent to it,without overkill.
