Get some external speakers. They cost maybe $10 - $25 for a good set.
Make sure the volume control is "up all the way" even on your mps player / media player. Use your dial only to regulate the sound (if you have this model)

Internal speakers are not loud at all.How loaud the speaker volume is is also dependent on whether you have normal, or abnormal hearing.

Internal speakers in laptops are very small, and hence won't perform well. Get external ones, or some headphones.
