Hi Shorty - Happy New Year to you.

I don't have these but I'd buy them because by far the most important element is padded earphones for long term usage (ie more than 2 hours), and these clearly have said pads.

Maybe a bit expensive, but that's due to them being RF, and the major drawback is remembering to recharge the batteries AND keeping a spare set of ordinary UN-rechargeables when you will inevitably forget to recharge..

But if you're self-discipline is 'up to scratch' you should be OK.

I'd also STRONGLY recommend you do a Google product search for this specific item, and check this site for money-off vouchers:

http://www.vouchercodes.com/

If you have patience, you'll likely (but not definitely) find them (or a suitable equivalent) at a bargain price.

Take your time - and save yourself cash.

I'm not sure about these. I suggest you compare them with a similar pair of Sennheisers for performance and price. That should give you a better idea. Although I like Sony, a lot of their headphones aren't given very good reviews especially on build and durability.

far better to listen to your msuic through loud speakers
..theres a comfort issue (headphoines generally tend to get irritating after a while
..theres a safety issue... its much easier to have the msuic to loud on harm your hearing wearing headphones

if you are ewearing headphines becasue you are disturbing the neighbours.. then you are probably already listenting to music to loud

I use headphones listenting to my MP3 player, and on the PC.. not when listening to music elsewhere. the headhones on my MP3 player are tiny in ear (sony fontopia's) at the lowest possible volume.

All headphones are a compromise on sound.. they cant reproduce the same depth of bass, they cant neccdesarily reproduce the high end treble clearly. A lot of people confuse wearing headphones with quality, that because they see musiciains wearing headphines inthe studio.. but thats a different reason they need to isolate the sound they are listening to.

if sound quality is waht youare after then expect to spend a lot more than £50 for s decent set of headphones.

if its avoinding the neighbours noise, then consider some in ear headphones/earbuds (or a noise cancelling headphone).

I would be wary of buying something like headphones/speakers etc without listening to them first.
For example I love my Kef speakers but my mate prefers his Mordant Short (but then I play mainly classical, he plays only rock!). Same with cans... very subjective.
I bought Sennheiser. Expensive but very true sound and comfy!
Find somewhere selling them first, go have a listen, then decide.

They look good, but how do they connect to whatever your gonna be listening to? Wireless idea sounds good though, the wire of headphones always annoys me, esp on the tubes.
