One of the best answers from my previous question -

"Ronaldo is a player from the past
Money got in his head there is no more soccer soul in that guy
It's sad
But it's true
When he was young living and the ghetto futebol was everything after the success and money futebol is just another day in the office"

Whoever wrote that is wrong, Ronaldo have big problems with his knee, since he was 18 years old he was playing on the higher level than any other player, that's 12 years now, he can be happy that he can walk without a crutches!!! Before he went to Inter he had the same number of awards as Ronaldinho has now and he was only 21, O Fenomeno was only appropriate word for him!!!! He is 30 years old now, he was playing football all his life and even without his injuries he wouldn't be good now as he used to be, matter of fact no one will ever be as good as he was, not even Ronaldinho!!!!! Ronaldo was better than Pele!!!

That's not really a fair statement in regards to Ronaldo. He has been a great player for Brazil and drew many many fans to the game. He made people world over, passionate and excited about the sport. That man has been a brilliant player with many unmatched skills and qualities in his prime. Age and persistent injuries are what has plagued him recently. Any how, Ronaldinho doesn't need money. He has the benefit of being able to play for the love of the game and where his heart wants to play. Every player, no matter who has a period where their form will faulter or flatten out. It's us, the fans that expect them to maintain perfect form every day of their lives and we, as fans, that are less than forgiving when they don't dazzle and amaze us every single match. I think a true fan of the game will appreciate and acknowledge a players greatness, whether you support that team/nation or not.
