Say 10 years to each marriage. All the avian diseases could be avoided. Henpecking, cuckolds. And people would not have affairs or fights.

You are proposing to take the COMMITMENT out of marriage. It would cease to be marriage. I would like much better, a proposal to re-introduce true commitment to marriage.

yes there are contract marriage with a period of one year and renewable, thereafter.
It works very well and keeps the parties on their toes throughout the year, so the renewal is done at the end of the period. There are no fights, no nagging etc. Everything goes on fine, both parties always ready to sacrifice. If you find a third boy or girl trying to take your partner, you must stop your partner with extra love and affection. you cannot fight or beat your partner or the mischief maker. generally there is more love, sacrifice, happiness, trust etc,. there is less of expectations, quarrels, nagging, complaining etc.
Each party tries to please the other party without expecting anything in return. I strongly recommend some of the elements of the contract are incorporated in the 'institution of marriage' as it exists now.
