these are not in my opinion acquired gifts...they are already present...and many end up ignoring them or smothering them with our human equivalent of faerie glamour...a gloss that dulls the things inside us...so others can only see the gloss..........are you covering your instincts and intuition with faerie glamour...or do you use all your eyes???

This is another very good question ...

I use my instincts and intuition much more than I could ever use my eyes... but I may need glasses ;-))

Its a shallow world and I have cereal bowls deeper than most people ...

so sometimes I have to turn it off ... as there are times that I just need to relax and have fun.

and for everything else ...

I take every situation at hand... if there is something that my eyes see then of course my intuition comes into play. If I hear something that seems out of the norm, that too becomes a factor. Just like lipstick that needs a gloss , there is something to be uncovered. and that includes the perfume at a scene...m is it sweet or morose? I definitely will not go to the taste of something but have covered the senses best I can do.

You do see with your instinct - millions of years of evolution made instinct an important part of survival. I offer as exhibit A the way that body language influences communication. This body language is not just based on physical posture but also on vocal intonation and a variety of other factors. You are seeing with your instincts continuously. However, because they are instinctual, you simply fail to notice. I believe also, that instinct and intuition are one and the same.

I wouldn't call the gloss that some use faerie glamour. That's an insult to faeries.

Yes; I am one of a relatively small group of people that have a fairly enhanced intuition.

No, it's not clairvoyance and I can't "read" people's minds, but I have a much better sense of "reading people" than most.

I had it all my life and didn't actually have it "confirmed" until I took a Myers-Briggs personality test - a valid psychological profile. You can take it here: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes1.htm

My intuition has served me well in my life and has even been "confirmed" by others; they admit that I do indeed have a unique gift.

I see with intuition & instinct too, but I don't always pay enough attention to them...sometimes I know better but I go ahead & do the wrong thing anyway. I should use my sixth sense more often!

Learning to trust your instinct and intuition as much as you do your eyes is the gift

I dont know, I tried to drive home not using my eyes, but only my intuition and instict. That was when I discovered, intuition and instinct by themselves will put you in a ditch.

The eyes are just one of the instruments used by our soul to see the physical world. But our soul can also see without them.

" When we sleep the soul sees without the help of the eyes. The auditory nerves are inactive, but the soul hears. Our members are in repose, but the soul is in movement. Our body is in the room, our soul is traveling through all horizons. It is clear, therefore, that the soul evolves with and without the intervention of the material body. In the same way when we study an object, sometimes we observe it with the help of some optical instrument and sometimes with the naked eye. Sometimes we move by ourselves, sometimes with the help of a machine of locomotion.

The soul acts in the physical world with the help of the body. When it is freed from the body it acts without an intermediary. We see with our physical eyes, but with the help of our thoughts we can see other lands. America was discovered through the mind. The day the soul becomes detached from the body it has but this second means of action — without intermediary. "

We see with our eyes but we sense things through intuition and instinct. I believe instinct is the sixth sense.
