Saddam was a mass-murderer. He was tired and convicted by the Iraqi government. The USA had no say in his fate. He was as cruel a monster as Stalin and ran Iraq like a mafioso. He got what was due him.

An act of desperation perhaps or a statement to put a point on Bush's board. The thing is that the USA never freed Iraq, in fact by invading it we made it worse, now we have another internal conflict on our hands and the problem is that once we leave Iraq, they will be on their own and don't be surprised if Iraq becomes our ennemy on the long run.
Sadaam wasn't a very good guy, however he was a threat to no-one except the Iraqi people, thus removing him was unnecessary, plus his death will not change anything, Iraq doesn't have an executed former-dictator on their hands, they have a martyr and those who supported him will fight even harder now. I guess in a twisted kind of way, it makes sense, Bush wants to send more troops and now he will have the edge he needs to do so.
Finally, if we really wanted him to suffer for the injustices he has committed, we should have let him live and to rot in a mediocre cell, whilst making sure he stays alive...that is how you torture someone.

You are wrong. Saddam Hussein did support terrorists. He paid 25,000 bounties to the families of suicide bombers. Now I don't know about where you come from, but where I am from this is called supporting terrorists. How did you arrive at the conclusion that Saddam Hussein never killed any Americans? Were you even born when the first Gulf War occurred? Did you sleep through repeated violation of the ceasefire agreement when Iraq was firing on Coalition planes patrolling the Southern No Fly Zone? The US did not kill Hussein. He was tried and convicted in an Iraqi court where a sentence was handed down and then carried out. Saddam Hussein had the ability to leave Iraq before the war. It was common knowledge that we were going to invade. He chose to stand and fight. Try posting true facts rather than fantasies.

First off, the US didn't kill him, the trial (for the most part) and the execution were carried out by the new Iraqi government. And I believe that I am the only one left in America who still believes that invading Iraq was the right thing to do.
He did kill Americans; Saddam's army and his supporters are responsible for just over 3,000 US troops losing their lives. He was a dictator and no one, especially Americans, have any remorse for evil men like him.

Personally I think Saddam was a scumbag who deserved what he got. This guy ordered the murders of thousands of his own people. However, I think the US was extremely hypocritical in its involvement in this mans execution seeing the fact that the US supported this man in the 1980s and supplied him with many of the weapons that were used in his atrocities. The US consistently supports evil dictators such as Iddi Amin and General Pinochet as long as they support US foreign policy. In the case of Pinochet they actually ousted the democratically elected president of Chile (Salvatore Allende) simply because because he believed in a Socialist economy for his country rather than a Capitalist one. American foreign policy absolutely stinks and in reality they stand only for their own selfish strategic interests not for human rights

saddam's execution and trial are major milestones in the rise of the new iraqi government. It is essential for the world to see that the iraqi government has the capabilities to carry out justice. you have to remember, saddam's trial and execution were primarily carried out by the iraqis themselves. was justice not served? why should i lose sleep because there is one less a$$hole in this world?

Excuse me, watch the news. We didn't kill him. There wasn't one american at the execution. It wasn't a american court. Damn you don't watch or read any news. If you did you did you would have seen that a vast majority of americans are and have been against the war in Iraq.
