Italians didnt JUST invent pizza, pasta and lasagna (chinese invented noodles) BUT believe it or not.. they also invented FRIED CHICKEN!!!! (which was first cooked this way-with the special herbs and spices- by the Napoletani.. who also invented the pizza..

NONE of this was originally American.. infact America itself is named after an Italian explorer called Amerigo Vespucci.. and Italy leads the world in medicine and microrobotics.. NOT USA or JAPAN.. as most of us would think.. Italy with Germany have dominated engineering since time began.. without it.. the world would still be working out how to build safe bridges.. Italy has been building bridges for thousands of years.. most are still standing today.. as are most of italy's thousand year old homes.. including Chrstopher Columbus who has a home one block from my mothers house and I have actually been there for all those who doubt he too was Italian..

Since USA mass produces weapons.. and won WW2.. Italy has lost much of it's talent.. and potential.. this is very sad.. but Italians all over the world I'm sure are still being passionate hard working and cutting edge.. it's in the blood I think..

They are fun ... they are proud of their country and national soccer team ;o) ... they do not like Zinedine Zidane and worship Matterazzi and Canavaro ... intelligent since they finally kicked out Berlusconi to elect former EC President Romano Prodi, they imposed the bane on smoking in public places ... they are very attached to their family which they stay with until late ... men are macho but romantic ... women are sexy, have a strong mood but are sometimes a bit too much worried about their appearance.

They are very good at fashion and arts also. They have a fine cooking tradition, richest than they think ... and .. they are the inventors of pizze (this is for American people who think that US invented pizzas)

They are loud talking but more hospitable than some other people. Their administration is really messy however.

People who enjoy life and who can drink lots of wine without becoming alcoholic. Did you know that Italians used to be called Wops in America (maybe they still are in some places)? Here's why:

When most Italians immigrated to America in the late 1800's/early 1900's they came here without documents e.g; birth & marriage records. So the workers at Ellis Island made up a stamp that said WOP in large letters & they stamped entry papers with it when the immigrant came With Out Papers. And they referred to them as Wops.

With Americans of Italian ancestry, I associate them with the East Coast, when they move out west they seem to lose their cultural identity. Extroverted, animated, loyal. Best cooks in the world, IMO.

I went to Italy last year. They are a great looking mob. Well dressed, well groomed, love to sing and wave their hands around when they talk, all good stuff.

some are thick, stupid, cheap and annoying.

some are nice, smart, generous, and interesting.

They act like the Irish, only the house is cleaner, the food is better, and they don't have a dog !
