yes, u are right, he was a criminal, but in Islam religion, it's a holly month, and that day was a holiday, it's forbidden to kill or to do anything bad during this period,
yes, saddam was not a good president, he killed many poeple, but we can not forget that he was supported at the bigining by the US gov, when he was fighting Iran, he was good in that period, and now, when they got what they wanted from him, they made him a criminal,
the idea i'm talking about, is that saddam is not the only terrorist, he is not the only bad president or leader, the most of countries had secret jells, where they kill poeple for political reasons, many big and rich countries has killed many poeple, i don't want to give exp ...but poeple who are using logic, and who see things clearly can understand that fact...
saddam was not killed for "justice and freedom of Iraq", he was killed for other reasons, one of them is the vengence...i won't say more!
he was a criminal yes, but he did many good things too, only arab poeple know that, he helped many poor countries..he encouraged the education of women and girls...i just want to say that a such person deserved at least a better death, i mean, not by melishia with covered faces, in the holiday, and in a misterious place, he had to be treated like any person condemned to death by a legal court of justice.
i just wanted to add something, ask ur self, is Iraq now better than he was when Saddam was the president? i know Iraq, it was not a rich country, but it was devolopped, it was the 1st arab and muslim country in Education, with the lowest rate of illtracy,
women was respected, and them rights were saved...poeple could walk in the street without being afraid of a soldier or a terrorist...
i'm not racist anymore, but i believe that USA has nothing to do in Iraq, it's the Iraqi intern politic, the Iraqi poeple were able to revolt against them president if they wanted, many poor and underdevolopped countries did it before..
anyway, it's really unfair what is happening in Iraq, no safety, no secutity, nothing!
it's going from the bad to the worst!!
thanks for the question, and sorry for being long!

indeed you are very correct! but dont just pay attention to the propaganda! think deeply...! saddam was accused of of sooo many actions against humanity...agreed! and just the same way he was killed! he killed people.....if america and britain claim they want to help and make iraq ryt....why do exactly the same action you accused saddam of doing? huh? will that solve the issue at hand or make it worse? another issue...why kill him on a holy day? televise it and make other people watch him suffer/die.....agreed he wasnt the greatest human being/ leader alive but..who gave america he right to walk nto iraq and accuse him of not ruling properly? werent americans the same ppl who built this so called monster? of all countries it was iraq! since when has america become the father of all nations? when america starts moving into africa to help eradicate poverty and so on....then i will belie that what they did was right..as far as im concerned..britain and america acted as big bullies in this situation and i ever think it should have been handled differenty...we all make misakes,,,yes even with lives...and someone has to pay! its just so sad he paid with his life...im neither for the americans nor the iraq's..but the question is do we think killing saddam will solve the problem..? i suggest we re-think again...this is my opinion!

I don't want to make anybody upset but I believe that nobody deserves to die this way,no matter how bad that person is.Only God can judge.Yes,Saddam was a terrorist,a bad person, but still I think he should have been left to remain in prison for the rest of his life, but this is only an opinion. No offence.

I think he should have spent the rest of his life in a horrible jail cell. Where he could have thought about his actions and his life and how it has been reduced down to a 3x5 cell! By giving him a sentence to be hanged he recieved a quick ending!

Saddam Hussein was a great Arab leader. He was executed by his enemies. USA won no war. 130000 american soldiers are not enough. 15000 more needed ,Bush says so. All of them among millions of enemies. Poor American people will suffer for the fuckin oil companies' war

I believe a hanging was slightly extreme. A life imprisonment would have been enough. With his death, many followers of Saddam became outraged, which would not have been so much so in prison. After all, what harm could he do in a high-security prison?

I think that the hanging of Saddam was a very sad day for this world. Yes the man was guilty beyond a shadow of a doubt, and yes he took thousands of innocent lives, but taking his life brings no one back. I think that it was very sad and very unnecessary to kill him. They should have just let him rot in jail and think about all of the horrible crimes that he had committed.
