small..im not at all sure that you can cite nature as being 'inanimate'...i rather think nature in all forms is extremely animate...but nicely put...even if i dont agree with that,lol..;0)

moloi...by the very definition of your answer nature cannot suffer a 'lack of integrity' if as you state there is none there to begin with....and im not saying i agree either...lol... this is rather my point....nature is everything from kind and gentle to harsh and unforgiving...and remember that part of how nature reacts now is down to our direct violation....;0)

i would never try to compare my integrity, heck i don't even know if i have any l any integrity left after living in the world this long! humanity is completely self destructive in its very nature, we spout morals and ethics and chose when to adhere and when to ignore them.
how we managed to be counted as the top of the food chain is a minor miracle, although we were the ones who decided how the food chain diagram should work!
nature is a more powerful force that we could be, sure we can harness technology to wipe out species and races, but how much of that comes from natures resources?
nature uses her powers to restore balance, what else has stopped overpopulation but natures 'wrath'

Thank you for a wonderful question!
I believe that life is much too inconsistent and complex to have as high an integrity as nature has. If we look into it deeply, we may find that evolution is the way nature takes care of the lack of integrity in the animate world. Had life been of matching integrity, it would not have required to undergo the huge changes to survive... huge in comparison to the level and rate of changes that occur normally in the inanimate world of nature.

No. Nature is perfect, we are flawed. I know that we are connected to nature (I never felt more at home or more happy than when I was in Algonquin. Hiking through the trees, standing on a clifftop looking out over a vast expanse of majestic pine trees & a sparkling lake. Nature's beauty is awe-inspiring & food for the soul. I wish I could get it more often...) and yet we become detached from it as technology progresses. We become so wrapped up in urban life & our modern toys that we forget to go outside & often we don't give our planet the respect she deserves. We hurt the environment & we hurt ourselves in the long run...

There can't be comparison. As humans we determine the means of our dignity and integrity. Nature exists for human usage.

But on the lighter note: The frequency with which mother nature springs up surprises at us makes her to be up there with humans in the league of lack of integrity!
