ive got $5000 to give this car the most horse power i can

On that budget, there's no need to waste time with small stuff - I recommend going straight for a centrifugal supercharger kit like those made by Vortech Engineering (not the Vortec Cyclone - I'm surprised Vortech hasn't sued the pants off those guys!) or Paxton. It's possible to add 100 hp by adding a supercharger.

put a big blower buddy! stroke it out to 383, roller rocker conversion, head work and a high stall speed torque converter with a semi posi rear and you just might lift the front wheels. don't forget the fuel system.

Change the heads to big valve heads.....also
dual exhaust, cold air intake, high stall torque convertor, bigger cam
