my aunty is a masseuse and i asked her for a massage but she said to be careful because there is a product (which she does not supply) that has something in it that can cause miscarrage.

so i was wondering if anyone knew if it was in moistuisers coz i want to rub some on my belly to try and prevent strech marks.

Hi there Dear. I have to ask. Why did this "Trixy Loo" person think that you wanted to hurt your baby!? I read your question and I did not get any hint of that..does she know something that the rest of us don't?
I really would not worry about a moisturizer. I know that there are hebs and things ( I won't mention the name on here) that can induce miscarriage but they have to be taken internally.
I would not worry honey but go ahead and talk to your doctor just to be on the safe side.
As far as your tummy, good old cocoa butter will do the trick and will make your tummy smell yummy! Don't be surprised if your hubby wants to lick it! lol...
Have fun and enjoy your pregnancy. Believe it or not , it will go by before you now it.
Take care honey!
Love and Blessings.
p.s. use this time to read some good books. "What to Expect When You are Expecting" is a really good one.
Take care and quit worrying about so many things. Eat well, get plenty of rest and take care of yourself. Remember to take your prenatals (take them at night if they upset your tummy) and make sure you are eating all the good things that both of you need.
Good luck and feel free to write to me if you would like to, I will write back!
Blessings;
Love and Blessings

I recommend you go to planned parenthood and look up adoption. If you got pregnant, it is not the babies fault- don't kill it. Time to grow up and own up to what you did. If you got pregnant, deal with it responsibly. Asking for murderous lotions is the most immature thing you could do. I am hoping your post wasnt even really serious. Go talk to your mom and tell her what happened. Seriously, deal with this the right way. There are so many people who would love to adopt the baby and some of them will pay thousands of dollars for a private adoption. Imagine, you may even be able to take that money and go to college and a nice couple will get the baby to raise and love and care for. You get what you want, your baby gets what he/she needs. Unless of course your family supports you and you keep the baby and raise it yourself with help.

Highly unlikely that a hand lotion would cause such a thing...

Get yourself tested for food allergies though and then look at the lotions ingredients...

Trixyloo - have you ever heard of wrong end of the stick? You should reread the question and offer useful advice in future.

i've never heard of a moisturiser causing a miscarriage. i dont think it could. i think its mostly things you take internally would cause one. but i'm not a doctor. maybe you should see your doctor and make sure.
