wait til you're about 10 days late, then take a test

If your period is regular (28-30 days between the start of one to the start of the next one) then you would have been at the "end" of your fertility window when you had sex. If your period was due on the 1st, then your last period would have been around the 1st -3rd. Most women ovulate 12-14 days after the start of their period. If you started on the 2nd (as a "middle of the road" example), then your most fertile time would have been around the 14th-16th.

It was more than likely a little early to get a good positive result on a pregnancy test when you took it. If you haven't started your period in the next couple of days, then take a good name-brand test like First Response or Answer Early. They seem to be the most reliable and give the best results the soonest. Be sure to take with your first-morning urine since it has the highest concentration of the pregnancy hormone if it is present.

Good luck to you!

Yes, but you haven't even missed one yet, it's only the third. Very hard to tell now. Wait and try testing once you know you're late at least a week.
