I'm really sorry make you many times the same question... :( I put one in US, one in UK, then malaysia and Philippines and Australia..

I can't realize that all "english" speaker share the same questions... :) in fact I wrote same question in south america, france and germany.. and you don't see these.. :(

I would say as far as board games go /Sorry!- backgammon-chess - checkers-monopoly-life-scrabble and yahtzee are best known and played most frequently,and card games would be (7 card rummy -11 card rummy-gin rummy-cribbage-hearts- spades-uno-pinochle,blitz-different versions of poker.war ,many versions of solitaire.

I resides in Singapore and it would of course be the well known family boardgame Monopoly. There are countless of versions here and people will never get sick of playing it. Haha.
(Psst although i personally loves Cluedo!)

The best known card game would be UNO! Isn't it the same anywhere else? Other than that would be a game we youngsters called the "BIG 2 or DaiDee" using poker cards, great as gambling game too.

USA is a poker board game in the country, but i love chess, it's a challenging board game, and most countries are well known because of chess tournaments and other board games

We get a mixture of people all over Melbourne LOVING the game.

I personally like Hold'em.
