In the case of an invasion like Vietnam , after the war, things didnot assume a larger proportion as no religion or terrorism was involved. It was a just a political tussle.

Here , in Iraq , the issues involved are complex and religion is involved . Already the shadow boxing with terrorism is taking a heavy toll all over the world. Now it will have another fuel added to that. I think that the world will pay a very , very high price post saddam. The genie , which wa s inside the (Iraq) bottle is , now out. Who is going tp put it in again?

However unfounded my apprehension may be , I fear that the common man is going to be caught in the crossfire. The world leaders should start buliding bridges across the religions and the countries.

Iraq was in a worse state with Saddam, it was just not open to the worlds eyes, the average western citizen wasn't aware of the horrors of his regime. Now without Saddam it is still an awful place to be, due to the violence from the extremists / revolutionaries, but it as the chance to become something much better then it could have ever been under the control of Saddam.

Remember that Saddam was a dictator, Mr Nice he was not!

I personally think that it is better off with out that little devil...

The man has done more evil then many of this states coldest murders.

Someone who kills thousands of people for no reasonable purpose not let along his own people, does not deserve a life of his own with no punishment at all. It's just not right.

Especially once you think of all the loved ones to those people who he has killed. If a powerful leader decided to kill someone you deeply cared for, would you not want revenge? I very much know I would.

So yes, I strongly belief that Saddam Hussein's execution was completely necessary.

I believe the execution of Saddam has made sure that he will posthumously continue to influence a lot of events in Iraq for quite sometime to come.

I think that although Saddam was a murderous ********, he was just one amongst a nation full of murderous arseholes. It seems the only way to keep the Iraqi arseholes in line is to be the biggest and most murderous ********.

Not much of a difference with all these assasines everywhere.

"A murderer doesn't stop being a murderer just because he doesn't have a gun sometimes".

" Iraq doesn't stop the violence just because Saddam is dead".

I do not believe in the power of one single man. His execution is satisfying the legal justice, but will Iraq be able to use his absence and built one more democratic system is one completely another problem.

I didn't think there was a question here cause I can't really see him coming back to Iraq (unless a scam is in the midst ...)
