The coast of Maine is great.A lot of site seeing to do, great seafood restaurants. Kennebunkport is absolutely charming. Or RI is great especially Newport. Then there is always the good old Lakes Region of NH. Vt has beautiful plush green mountains. Log into any of the state web sites and there is usually a tourism site to give you info on specific areas with hotels, restaurants etc in the area.

The Poconos are pretty much THE honeymoon spot in the north east.http://honeymoons.about.com/cs/poconos/a/poconoshoneymoo.htm "You say you're planning a honeymoon... and sooner or later, someone brings up The Poconos, the Pennsylvania hills that have for generations welcomed newlyweds and other lovers. With their heart-shaped bathtubs, big round beds, and relentless promotion of priapic pleasures, Poconos honeymoon hotels go all out to create a setting for sex.
Founded in 1958, Caesars Pocono Resorts, which now dominate the Poconos lodging scene, were visited by nearly 16,000 honeymoon couples in 2000.
The four Caesars Pocono Resorts (Cove Haven, Paradise Stream, Pocono Palace, and Brookdale, which is for families) contain more than 750 suites of 25 different styles. Honeymoon lodgings offer a round king-size bed, and most feature a log-burning fireplace.
While the heart-shaped tub endures as an amenity at these properties, the most popular attraction today is a room with a champagne glass whirlpool bath for two, complete with a ladder to climb up into it.
ALL-INCLUSIVE PRICING
Package prices include breakfast and dinner, all activities, use of all facilities, and nightly entertainment."

If you want a quaint town to stay in, beaches with warm water, and good restaurants, go to Cape May New Jersey. I've been going to Cape May since I was 6 weeks old and bought a vacation home there. Anyone who rented it and had never been to Cape May before absolutely loved the place. It's kind of slower paced, there are families on bikes, carriage tours, Victorian homes as B&Bs. But there are some excellent restaurants and quite a few places to go out and hear jazz or rock bands or piano bar.
Lots of people get married there (I see the bridal parties out at the bars on Friday and Saturday nights), and I know of people who have honeymooned there.
Go to capemay.com to check out a bit of what it's about, but read the memories section of that website to see how people feel about the place.

If you like rural and folksy, central and western Massachusetts may be for you. The Housatonic and Connecticut River valleys are beautiful. Old Sturbridge Village and the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge are pure Americana. It's not a fast-paced, exciting part of the world, but it's very interesting and pleasant.

The cape is very cozy and can be quite romantic. There is the life of NYC and all there is to do there. It just depends on what you want in your honeymoon...some alone cabin time or hustle and bustle.

I would suggest Somewhere outside of new jerseys, in a cabin in the woods. It would be so great. They are on high grounds so you wont get snowed in and I have been there and it is so beautiful and peaceful.
