The author was one of two Bronte sisters, Emily (who wrote Wuthering Heights) and Charlotte (who penned Jane Eyre). They lived in the Victorian era, where female authors were not given prominence. Their stories are set in the same era and the same milieu. They lost some family members at an early age which have triggered their sense of melodrama somewhat in the writings - Good reading, yet a spot too sentimental for my taste.

Lol, I'm so late, two years later. Honestly, I'd be creeped out and hate you forever. But... Not if I didn't know the book was about me! Now, if the sole purpose of writing this book was so she could read it, then I'd say don't write it. I don't think that would change anything, just make her angry and embarassed. But if this book isn't just for her... Go ahead and write the book. Change the characters names up and some of the circumstances. Make it similar, but not too similar, and not quite about your story, but something that spins off of it. As someone who loves to write, I can tell you that writing a book can bring unexpected joy and present you with challenges that make a stronger person.

Emily Bronte, under the pen name Edgar (I think--or was it Edward?) Bell.
Um it was the first work of art before The Cosby Show in the 80s to feature a hero called Heathcliff?

Emily Bronte
Her setting is based on her own home and their whole family died really early expect for their father. If you like it I recommend Jane Eyre by her sister Charlotte Bronte.
