thats a hard question coz some girls do it as flirting and some girls have that personality to just act like that...Is she bi/les..if yes then she's prob flirting...If she has a loud, bubbly, funny personality than she's prob just mucking around with you...Or hey you could just have a sexy butt and she wants to touch it :)

Way! If it bothers you, when she does it again, turn to her (person 2 person & it doesn't matter if others are there and over hear) and seriously (without a smile), in a clear and calm--yet stern voice--to the point, tell her that you don't like being pat on the a** and that you want her to refrain from it. Not only is she flirting with you...it is a form of sexual harrassment and it is demeaning (especially since it is done in the work place). She might be just asserting a pecking order--still, its demeaning. If she does it again...reinforce that you had told her once already to stop...and then tell her that you take it as a form of harrassment--be serious and calm...look her in the eye.
Honestly, I would tell her that I only allow my man to pat me on the a**.
If you like her...and you are interested in her...tell her so. But, I hold the opinion that, regardless, butt pats in the office are a 'no no.' Initiating a relationship also dependent on fraternization policies in your work place.

Sounds like it. It may be just niceness, though. Is she a lesbian? Are you? Have you put out any vibe that this kind of behavior is acceptable? If not, maybe you should check into your company's harassment policy. If you don't mind it, maybe you should get it on tape for mass production.

Depends on your relationship w/ her.
Is she isn't close, then yes. If she is, then no. My friends and I do that all the time.
