Ok, before I met my husband I dated many men. One of them was very wealthy. Very, very yacht owning wealthy. He never appealed to me because I had this sense that I "belonged" to him because we were dating. I never felt anything for him, and his money didn't impress me, I guess I'm old fashioned. I married a Navy man, and now that he is out of the service, he comes home everynight with a kiss and an "I love you", and its more than material things, beleive me.

Of course. For richer for poorer. But a man who loves his woman will enjoy providing the best he can for her and throw in extras besides to treat her like a queen. He does want to be treated like a King so it cuts both ways. A good woman just doesn't take it for granted and material things never substitute for genuine unselfish love and respect.

Yes, usually a woman loves a man for who he is (of for who he appears to be as men can sometimes also be deceiving). Only a small percentage of women go for the material things so learn to discern.

Well, The answer is, a woman can love man for both depending on her interest.

Probibaly, she love the man for his popularity, knowledge and respect, that is what he is.Or She can love him because he have properties and some valuable resources that she's interested in and that is material thing. Like I said, depending on her interest.

I have been with my hubby for almost 6 years. We met , and had nothing. I had just moved to that state, and had been divorced( from a different man) the year prior. We moved and had nothing but each other. We have moved 4 x's in 5 years. ( Job's) but, we have never, i repeat NEVER put a $ value on US. We have lived in the smallest rat hole ever in NY, and the 10 acre ranch in SW Florida. Did that matter? Nope. We had each other. If you are questioning your own relationship as far as peace or money...leave now. Save that man alot of misery later.

Yes and no, it is not about material things; were it I'd be nagging full time and the way I look at it material things are just that material, love is not material, you can't pack it, tear it, eat it can you?

Good answer Guinea. Since I work bought my own house and cars a man needs to impress me. Brains would be a good start but since most men don't rely on those they rely on giving gifts, especially the old ones. On the other hand, you may just be chasing the wrong women. Try the independent type not the needy type.

Do poor people fall in love? Does the poor man's wife love him or is she just sticking around for the food stamps? Give your head a shake.
